Parmareggio was founded in 1983 in Montecavolo di Quattro Castella, in the area Parmigiano Reggiano originated from, and became a world leader in the production and sale of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese over just a few years. Parmareggio seasons and packages Parmigiano Reggiano, packaging grated cheese and other cheeses in portions and in slices.
With two production plants in Modena and Montecavolo di Quattro Castella (RE) it is the reference company for the Parmigiano Reggiano market. Parmareggio is the heart of an integrated production and sale system headed by Granterre Group, founded over 50 years ago, which now leads the world’s sale of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND QUALITY TO BE COMPETITIVE
Over the past few years, the development of activities and certifications has led to a considerable increase of the amount of “paper” in the company. In the past, the recorded data were used to fill out forms and were seldom analysed to obtain useful information for the company.

For several years now, Parmareggio has been implementing two types of quality management software, Qman and Qbase. These systems allow collecting documents and data in an orderly manner, processing the data related to documentation management and, more importantly, supporting data collection and analysis (complaints, nonconformities, corrective and preventive measures, internal and supplier audit assessments, controls, traceability).
