Parmareggio was founded in 1983 in Montecavolo di Quattro Castella, in the area Parmigiano Reggiano originated from, and became a world leader in the production and sale of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese over just a few years. Parmareggio seasons and packages Parmigiano Reggiano, packaging grated cheese and other cheeses in portions and in slices.
With two production plants in Modena and Montecavolo di Quattro Castella (RE) it is the reference company for the Parmigiano Reggiano market. Parmareggio is the heart of an integrated production and sale system headed by Granterre Group, founded over 50 years ago, which now leads the world’s sale of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
Parmareggio and the taste of Italy
Together with other important Italian companies in the food industry, Parmareggio
has contributed to the creation of the Consortium “Italia del Gusto – La Gastronomia di Marca” (The taste of Italy - Branded gastronomy), in Parma at the end of 2006. The aim of the Consortium is to divulgate Italian culture, taste and food worldwide through its subsidiaries' high quality branded products.

Italia del Gusto carries out marketing, promotion and communication activities in international markets to increase the sales of its subsidiaries.

Moreover, the consortium implements trade marketing activities towards modern and specialised distribution and catering industry and manages public relations with media and institutions.

In particular, it advises on marketing and global communication, carries out studies and researches, promotes events and promotions at the outlets, participates in international trade fairs and missions, develops commercial and logistic synergies, plans advertisement campaigns.

Over the past few years, we have participated in various international trade fairs with Italia del Gusto. In the space reserved to Parmareggio within the Consortium's stand, we have displayed our products, focusing on a high quality range. Among these events, Fancy Food in New York and Gulfood in Dubai... only to name a few.
